Thanks to the dads who came out to Rossmoor Park this afternoon to get fields #1 and #2 in playing shape for this week's games. Your help is greatly appreciated! (Now, fingers crossed for no more rain!)

Sunday, March 7, 8:30 a.m. Weather Update:
All of today's games scheduled to be played at OAK MIDDLE SCHOOL and LAUREL PARK are rained out due to poor field conditions.
Information regarding the re-scheduling of 10U and 12U games (previously re-scheduled from Feb. 27) games will be posted here once dates and times have been determined.
Today's 8U games have been re-scheduled for Sunday, March 28, times TBD.
It's been a crazy start to the season due to the weather - we appreciate your flexibility with the schedule changes!

An important request/reminder to players, parents and coaches:
Please stay off the LAGSL fields when they are wet after a rainstorm. It's not only unsafe to play in wet conditions, playing on wet infields leaves indentations on the field, requiring even more hours of work by our dedicated field maintenance volunteers. Staying off the wet infields will help ensure our fields are kept in great shape for the upcoming season.

Let’s be Good Neighbors!
Please be respectful of our neighbors at Rossmoor Park and Rush Park! Our league's agreement with the neighborhood organization states that no one is to be on the fields prior to 8 a.m. Please abide by this rule, and please take care when parking at or around Rossmoor Park and Rush Park to not block or obstruct the driveways of nearby homes. We appreciate your cooperation!

Regarding 2/27 Rained out games for 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U divisions: These games are now tentatively scheduled to be played on SUNDAY, MARCH 7, at Oak Middle School or Laurel Park. Contact your coach for more information.

Rossmoor Park Field #1 and #2 games which were rained out on Saturday, Feb. 20, are now scheduled to be played Sunday, March 28. Coaches will receive information regarding game times and pass it on to their teams when times have been determined.

LAGSL's Opening Day Parade & Carnival was a Home Run!
The Opening Day Parade, Ceremony and Carnival was terrific! THANK YOU to all the players, parents, family members and especially the volunteers who came out to support LAGSL.
The 2010 season is off to a great start!

WEEKLY SOFTBALL FIELDING CLINICS
Los Alamitos High School Softball Coach Rob Weil holds a fielding clinic every Monday afternoon from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the LAHS Softball field. The hourlong clinic is open to LAGSL players, and costs $15 per session. For more information, contact Rob Weil at (714) 468-2361.

ACE Certification
Each All Star Team that participates in the District Championships and above is required by ASA to have a minimum of (2) coaches on staff that are ACE certified. ACE certification must be complete on or before June 1, 2009.
